Making Characters

Characters made from paper can be made to stand upright by leaving a triangular 'flap' on each side of the figure and then attaching both flaps together at the back to form a cylinder. These figures were made by teachers as part of a teacher training session.

Puppet making is a great way of creating characters as part of the Relationships project. These felt hand puppets were made by Year 2 pupils from Christopher Hatton School in Camden. Pupils were given paper templates with which to make their puppet shapes. They then sewed the two shapes together and added features and clothes using felt shapes and glue.
